C is for Crazy

Fox News host and fear monger Glenn Beck has broken out the chalkboard to incite even more fear in his pea-brained audience. The big word last week was OLIGARHY, except Beck misspelled it and even worse, most of his audience probably didn't notice it anymore than they noticed his lame attempt at connecting things that have nothing in common.

Hidden agendas have nothing to do with Obama, left internationalists, ACORN or graft. Beck uses these words to incite his audience, knowing good and darn well they don't know what they mean and are too stupid to look them up. Isn't it much easier to let someone like Beck do your thinking for you than thinking for yourself?

I'm 1,000 Percent With You...At Least For Now Anyway

Surely as the sun rises and sets, you can except RNC Chairman Michael Steele to say something retarded. No offense intended to those who might be mentally or developmentally challenged. He sticks his foot in his mouth so often that I think most people don't take him seriously about anything. He's inept, ill-prepared and detached from the rest of the party but that isn't hard to do right now. Some of those Republicans have lost their minds, they are bursting at the seams with xenophobic racists, angry bitter white men and those looney birther people who insist that Barack Obama is not eligible to be president. And then you have Michael Steele. He tries so hard to be the coolest guy in room but effs it up everytime.

The spineless chairman appeared on a conservative radio talk show last week in Missouri. This isn't anything new since he often guest hosts Bill Bennett's radio show on occassion but this appearance was different. The host Vincent David Jericho talked about the lack of leadership within the Republican party, he went in on House Minority Leader John Boehner and the rest of the Republicans for their lack of leadership all while Mr. Chairman agreed. Jericho even went on a tirade about the moral shortcomings of Republican Congressman Roy Blunt for having an affair with a tobacco industry lobbyist to which the chairman also co-signed. Uh-oh!

While Jericho's critique of the party and Blunt were spot-on, why does Michael Steele have to travel all the way to Missouri to acknowledge this? I have contended all along that he is the Republican's lame attempt at riding Barack Obama's coattails as an affirmative action hire. The American people elected a black man president, we need to get a black man too! Too bad they thought Steele would be perfect for the job. Electing him chairmain of the RNC is the equivalent of hanging new curtains in a condemned house.

Universal Healthcare = Reverse "Classicism"

I'm wondering how much got donated to the collection plate over at Hope Christian Church in Washington D.C. Bishop Harry Jones, a cancer survivor, is opposed to health care reform for moral reasons. Someone must have also slipped the conservative talking points against health care reform in the collection plate too.

The Bishop repeats the death panel and rationing of service myths but he's concerned that the rich are going to be discriminated against in favor of the poor. That's reverse "classicism"! Health care should only be available to those who can afford it!

I looked up classicism over at Merriam-Webster.com, I am certain this is not what he meant. Classism was probably what he meant to say but since he didn't bother to do any fact checking, he deserves to be talked about. All the Bishop did was repeat the same lies spewed by health care reform opponents except he added his own twist. He believes tax dollars are going fund abortions and is concerned about the effect of abortion on the black community. What about poverty and the lack of access to affordable health care?

I get the feeling that the Bishop is probably one of those ministers who only has time to counsel those church members who are financially worthy, while those who are not, are left to fend for themselves. Sort of like our current health care system.

This is surprising rhetoric for someone who is a cancer survivor. The Hope Christian Church must have a really good health insurance plan for the Bishop. Let the congregation say 'Amen'.

Of Hitler and Healthcare

I like Congressman Barney Frank. He's practical, whip smart and has the ability to cut through all of the foolishness regardless of the issue. This time he addresses a concern by one of his constituents about health care reform. Of course there are references to Nazis and Hitler but what debate or townhall meeting about healthcare would be complete without them?

This is the funniest retort I've seen to one of those wacky folks spewing nonsense about socialism, Nazis, healthcare and Hitler. I mean honestly, what does this woman really know about Nazis or Hitler? My guess is little to nothing. I bet she couldn't even name five similarities between President Obama and dur fuhrer. She would first have to find Germany on the damn map!

We all know how ignorant Americans are about other countries and cultures so I'm baffled by the comparisons being made between the President and Hitler. This is a lame but effective attempt by conservative agitators to kill something that would actually benefit the poor and the estimated 44 million uninsured Americans.

No one ever does this much complaining when something benefits loudmouths like Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly. They have health insurance and access to the best doctors and hospitals that money can buy;so do members of Congress. They have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo. Author and activist Tim Wise was right, this health care debate is really about stoking the flames of racism and xenophobia amongst a certain element in our society. You can see Wise's take on the health care debate here.

I'm so glad Barney Frank put this woman in her place. This one is a classic.

Dumbassness and Just Plain Crazy - Orly Taitz

Orly Taitz is the leader of the "birther" movement. She claims that President Obama is a fraud and is not legally President of the United States. Six months after he was elected President by popular vote and electorate college votes, people who have bought into the "birther" claims persist in perpetuating ridiculous rumors about where Obama was born. Pssst...you know he wasn't really born in Hawaii...have you ever seen his REAL birth certificate!?

This Orly woman and the rest of the "birthers" think they know something the rest of us don't. They've invested a great deal of time and money in decrying the fact that Barack Obama is not a natural born U.S. citizen and no amount of fact checking or proof is going to satisfy their dumbasses. If I were President Obama, I would ignore their asses too.

I wish as much energy could be expended on something beneficialy like healthcare reform or world peace! It's rather perplexing to watch people throw everything including the kitchen sink at President Obama. Why don't they just come out and tell us how they really feel! That big old pitcher of haterade seems bottomless.

A black man gets elected as President and some folks have lost their minds especially those folks on the right side of conservative. From the Christian minister praying for Obama's death to the Glenn Beck who called the president racist. This country is full of haters, literally and figuratively, who want to change the rules of the game because they lost.

Isn't all this "birther" nonsense really about race? Some people are working 24/7/365 to besmirch the President. Since when did people get so interested in what the Constitution says? It gets ignored most of the time, except for that amendment about the right to bear arms (#2) .

Why are people so damned hateful? Because this is America and they can be. If this Orly Taitz was anywhere else, she would be thrown in jail indefinitely, tortured mercilessly or just plain executed. She is obviously very passionate about her beliefs however misguided and hateful they are. In this interview, she's practically foaming at the mouth and doesn't exactly come across as credible but maybe she was having a bad day.
