In transcripts released from those secret Guantanamo Bay tribunals held last week, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (pictured), the alleged mastermind of the September 11th terrorist attacks says:
I was responsible for the 9/11 operation, from A to Z.Is that it? This sounds a bit contrived to me. How would a real terrorist know that 3,000 people were killed unless he was fed information by his interrogators? Also, what real terrorist would care if women and children were killed? They hate everybody! As for 'undisclosed' terrorist plots against former presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter and Pope John Paul II; I don't believe that either.
After seeing this guy's picture, there is nothing about him that screams 'mastermind'. He looks like some poor guy who was in the wrong place at the wrong time; we probably caught this one hiding in the closet behind his wife's burqas.
The CIA interrogators probably had that guy on a waterboard or hanging from his toenails at some black site in Eastern Europe to get this lame confession. I ain't buying this one.
